The next step in my digitial print process was print research - using Pinterest I've created a moodboard of some interesting prints and prints on other designer's collections.

One of my first university projects is Digital Fashion, which essentially, consists of digital print design and digital pattern cutting.  The unit objective is to create a range of print designs suitable for t-shirts, make the tshirt out of jersery using a pattern made using digital pattern cutting software and finally producig an A4 publication to sum up the entire process from start to finish with an 800 word researched written piece on future fashion.  So, here's process one....

Beginning the project, I started out researching and choosing a brand to focus my print off, so I thought I'd share my inspirations on my chosen designer, Peter Pilotto.

Welcome to my blog - I’m a first year student at Arts University Bournemouth studying BA Hons Fashion and this blog has been set up to be a place to share my thoughts and ideas along the way.  Starting with my Creative Drawing & Digital Application Unit - this illustration by Issa Grimm felt really fitting to choose as my first post.  Grimm’s work really speaks to me, the elongated limbs and creepy faces of her work makes it special in a huge sea of illustrators.  The digital application of texture and combination of media’s is an interesting point to reference for me, it’s adds to the illustration and looks incredible.  The dark tones to Grimm’s work inspires me to create stunning imagery similar.
